What ingredients are needed to make these Ground Beef Korean Bowls?

How to make Ground Beef Korean Bowls?

FIRST

Prepare your Jasmine Rice as directed. 

SECOND

In a large skillet, brown your ground beef, and drain off the excess grease if necessary once cooked through.

THIRD

In a medium bowl, whisk together your garlic, ground ginger, honey, soy/tamari sauce, Worcestershire sauce, rice wine vinegar, fish sauce, sesame seed oil and red pepper flakes.

NEXT 

Pour the sauce over the ground beef and bring to a simmer.

THEN

Steam or prepare your vegetables as desired.

LAST

Build your bowls, place your steamed rice down first, then layer with your ground beef and sauce and top with your veggies, scallions and sesame seeds.

Yes it does. Store the beef mixture and vegetables in airtight, freezer-safe storage. This is one of those recipes though that only last about three to four months in the freezer. Letting it thaw overnight in the refrigerator before you reheat it is best.

Ingredients

  • 3 lbs. ground beef
  • 2 tbsp. minced garlic
  • 1/2 tsp. ground ginger
  • 1/2 cup raw honey
  • 1/2 cup soy/tamari sauce
  • 1/2 cup Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 1/2 tbsp. rice vinegar
  • 1/2 tbsp. fish sauce
  • 1/2 - 1 tsp. red pepper flakes
  • 1 tbsp. sesame seed oil
  • 3 cups prepared Jasmine Rice
  • Sesame Seeds (to top)
  • Green Onions (sliced to top)
  • Veggies of your choice (steamed peas, steamed broccoli, cucumber, carrots, pickled vegetables, etc...)

Instructions

      1. Prepare your Jasmine Rice as directed.

      2. In a large skillet, brown your ground beef, and drain off the excess grease if necessary once cooked through.

      3. In a medium bowl, whisk together your garlic, ground ginger, honey, soy/tamari sauce, Worcestershire sauce, rice wine vinegar, fish sauce, sesame oil and red pepper flakes.

      4. Pour the sauce over the ground beef and bring to a simmer.

      5. Steam or prepare your vegetables as desired.

      6. Build your bowls, place your steamed rice down first, then layer with your ground beef sauce and top with your veggies, scallions and sesame seeds.
