Ningxia is an antioxidant puree from Young Living that is infused with essential oils, it is YUMMY and the benefits are amazing. It is a hidden gem and if you don’t know about it yet, here you go! I seriously want everyone to know how good it is. It’s a must for our whole family and it is the easiest multivitamin that covers SO much support for our bodies. If I could only choose one supplement/vitamin, this would be it. My kiddos drink it, even the 2 year old (I honestly start a little in their water around 6 months old), my husband drinks it and I crave it! So let’s dive into what Ningxia is and what the benefits are!

What are antioxidants?
Antioxidants are so important to help keep our body systems functioning smoothly. They help prevent the onset of degenerative diseases, premature aging, cardiovascular disease and mental decline. We NEED them!
You may have heard of free radicals, but what are they? A free radical is a highly and unstable molecule(s) that is made by our body naturally after exposure to toxins in the environment. The biggest concern is that they have a habit of stealing electrons from any molecule they come across to help themselves be stable, which is what can potentially cause cellular injury. For the most part our body can handle them, but when you add on all of the environmental toxins like pollution, processed foods, synthetics, endocrine disruptors and certain medications, it all adds up. We can do our best to avoid a lot of these things but our bodies will always need extra assistance from the things we can’t avoid.
We are exposed to so many things each day that can impact and lower our immune system. With the world we live in we are exposed to oxidative stress daily. I bet your wondering what that really means? It is basically an imbalance between the production of free radicals and the body’s ability to detox their toxic effects. Our body needs help to get rid of the toxins and that is where antioxidants come into play. We need to live life and we should, but by being proactive and helping the body in its detoxing process this will help to support your immune system and health of other organs in the long run helping to keep you healthy.

Daily if you can. The suggested serving is 1 to 2 ounces a day. Consistency is key though, however that works for you. Remember this is just food so if you are under the weather or trying to address something, feel free to drink more for extra support.
- Sniffles
- Cough
- Ear issues
- Sore throat
- Headache
- Tummy issues
- Just feel blah…
- Need an afternoon pick-me-up
It’s like my detox bath. When in doubt, when under the weather, or when wanting to be proactive with our health, Ningxia is our go-to. I will say though from personal experience, it is best to drink earlier in the day as it can give you energy. You can definitely drink it before bed if you choose but depending on how your body is, it may keep you up a little at night. I try to give it to my kids by lunch. This isn’t to say though if someone is fighting something that I don’t give it throughout the day then.

What are some other benefits to drinking Ningxia?
Ningxia has been clinically shown to increase physical energy levels by 35%, improve sleep patterns and increase time asleep by an average of 21 minutes, reduce daily stress by 23% and improve mental wellbeing, promote healthy respiratory function and support healthy inflammation response.
I personally started drinking it when I came down with a severe cold about 6 years ago when I was pregnant and I wanted a natural option to help support my immune system. The Drs. wanted me on a medication, I did not… A friend introduced it to me and I haven’t looked back. On top of that my daughter had tummy issues to where she would get so constipated she would cry and it would hurt and she was miserable and as a Mom it was terrible to watch her go through it. I knew she ate good food, a wide variety of whole foods, drank plenty of water, etc… but something was off with her little body. Her pediatrician wanted us to have her on Mirilax daily, which we did for a short time before finding this.
If you haven’t looked into Mirilax, you should. It is NOT something you want to be taking, especially for a child. They have serious side effects. Ningxia to the rescue again and we haven’t needed any other OTC assistance for over 6 years. It was a GAME changer for her and healed her gut. Anytime there are tummy issues, mood issues, feel a bug, honestly anytime anything feels off with anyone in our home, we drink a little extra.

What is the best way to drink Ningxia?
We think it tastes best served cold from the fridge, just 1 to 2 ounces a day is all you need. Our other favorite way is to make a Red Drink. I mix 2 ounces of Ningxia with splash of Orange Juice or Pineapple Juice and top with sparkling water. My kiddos love it too, sometimes I’m lucky if I even get to it before them!
If you don’t already have Ningxia and would like to try it, you can grab it here!

Remember I am not a doctor, I am just a Mama who loves finding natural options for her family. My education on oils and supplements is how our family has used these over the years and the benefits we have seen. You are the gatekeeper of your home and know your family so please keep that in mind while following us on this journey. Also, when speaking about essential oils, we use Young Living in our family and have for over six years. These are the oils that I have researched and feel comfortable with for our family. Not all oils and supplements are created equal.
